Am G Em F C
At the end of my days, when i'm called to go
Am G Em F C
Into the open arms of the holy ghost
Am G Em F C
to have lived such a life as i have known
Am G Em F C
Fortune follows me, but i'm brave no more

Am G Em F C
For my great mistakes, i will surely pay
Am G Em F C
I'm running low, and the devil's on my trail
Am G Em F C
When fate delivers me, all i'm asking for
Am G Em F C
is a place to rest and shelter for my soul

Am G F
If i could spend my days
Em C
free from the prison of your gaze
Am G F
then i could die a happy man
Am G F
If i could spend my days
Em C
free from the shadow of my name
Am G F
then i cold die a happy man

Am G Em F C
When i am released from this mortal low
Am G Em F C
i'll take my leave, but i don't want to go
Am G Em F C
When fate delivers me, all i'm asking for
Am G Em F C
is a place to rest and shelter for my soul.
