Belle And Sebastian

Im A Cuckoo

by Belle And Sebastian
Belle And Sebastian

Biography:

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days

I'm A Cuckoo
Belle & Sebastian
Tabbed by Petey Sykes

This is an alteration of the previous version on here, which was great but a few chords
wrong. This should work better. It's easier to play if you tune down a semitone (see
at the bottom). Hope you enjoy :-)

I’m wondering how things could've been

Now I know this hurt is poison
A#m G#m
Too sharp to be bled
A#m G#m
I'm sitting on my empty bed

On my empty bed
B A#m C#
At night the fever grows it's pounding pounding

[Refrain]

Jesus told me, go after every coin
A#m G#m
Like it was the last in the world

And protect the wayward child

But I'm a little lost sheep
B
I need my Bo peep
A#m C#
I know I need my Shepherd here tonight

A#m G#m
And let you settle down
A#m G#m
I've got no claims to your crown
A#m
I was the boss of you
B
And I loved you
A#m
You know I loved you
C#
It's all over now

F# B
I was there for you
When you were lonely
A#m G#m
I was there when you were sad

I was there when you were bad

Now it's my time of need
B A#m C#
I’m thinking, do I have to plead to get you by my side?
