BASTILLE - THINKIN' AHEAD

CAPO: 3RD FRET

[Excerpt 1]

A storm is coming, Frank says. A storm that will swallow the children. And I will deliver them from the
kingdom of pain. I'll deliver the children back to their doorsteps. I'll send the monsters back to the
underground. I'll send them back to a place where no one else can see them except for me.

[Verse 1]

Cmaj7 Am7
A tornado flew around my room before you came
Bm7 Em
Excuse the mess it made, it usually doesn't rain in
Cmaj7 Bm7
Southern California, much like Arizona
F Em
My eyes don't shed tears, but boy they bawl

[Pre-Chorus]

Cmaj7
When I'm thinking about you
Am7
Oh no no no
Bm7
I've been thinking about you
E7
You know know know
Cmaj7
I've been thinking about you
Bm7 Dm
Do you think about me still?
C
Do you, do you

[Chorus]

Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh
Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh

[Verse 2]

Cmaj7 Am7
No I don't like you, I just thought you were cool enough to kick it
Bm7 Em
Got a beach house I could sell you in Idaho
Cmaj7
Since you don't think I love you, I just thought you were
Bm7
cute, that's why I kissed you
F Em
Got a fighter jet, I don't get to fly it though

I'm lying down

[Pre-Chorus]

Cmaj7
Thinking about you
Am7
Oh no no no
Bm7
I've been thinking about you
E7
You know know know
Cmaj7
I've been thinking about you
Bm7 Dm
Do you think about me still?
C
Do you, do you

[Chorus]

Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh
Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh

[Bridge]

Yes of course
Am7 G
I remember, how could I forget
D Em
How you feel?
Am7 G
And though you were my first time
D Em
A new feel
Am7
And it will never get old
G D Em
Not in my soul, not in my spirit, keep it alive
Am7
We'll go down this road
G D Em
Til it turns from color to black and white, ooh

[Chorus]

Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh
Cmaj7 G D Em
Or do you not think so far ahead?
Cmaj7 G D Em
Cause I've been thinking about forever, ooh
