Lost In The Light

Biography:

Bahamas is Canadian musician Afie Jurvanen (born April 28, 1981, in Toronto).

Jurvanen isn’t from the Bahamas; he’s a Finnish-Canadian raised in Barrie (a working class town in rural Ontario). Since 2009 he’s been making music under the name Bahamas--writing songs about sunsets, love affairs, and making out with crooked smiles. Through simple arrangements, he charts an escape route from the snow belt to the coral reefs. His album, Barchords, was released in 2012 to critical praise:

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

NOTE
The Bm7 chord is played with an upstroke, finger picking the middle four strings (A D G B) and
hammering on the D and B strings, followed immediately with a low D "bass" note, which rings
through out.
This just about almost pretty accurately how Alfie plays it live imo.

Also thanks to dbell33 whose tab I used as a basis for this one.

Bm7
I'm lost in the light,
Bm7
I pray for the night,
Bm7 A G
To take me, to take you too,

Bm7
After so many words,
Bm7
Still nothing's heard,
Bm7 A G
Don't know what we should do,

Bm7 A G Bm7
So if someone could see me now, let them see you,

Bm7
It was my greatest thrill,
Bm7
But we just stood still,
Bm7 A G
You let me hold your hand 'til I had my fill,

Bm7
Even countin' sheep,
Bm7
Don't help me sleep,
Bm7 A G
I just toss and turn right there beside you

Bm7 A G Bm7
So if someone could see me now, let them see you,

G
Let them see you,
A
See you through,
Bm7 G
All the hard things we've all gotta do,
G
Cause this life is long,
A
And so you wouldn't be wrong,
Bm7 A G
Bein' free, leaving me on my own,

Bm7
And I held my own,
Bm7
Still I rattled your bones,
Bm7 A G
I said some awful things and I take them back,

Bm7
If we would try again,
Bm7
Just remember when,
Bm7 A G
Before we were lovers, I swear we were friends,

Bm7 A G Bm7
So if someone could see me now let them see you

G
Let them see you,
A
See you through,
Bm7 G
All the hard things we've all gotta do,
G
Cause this life is long,
A
And so you wouldn't be wrong,
Bm7 A G
Bein' free, leaving me on my own.
