Biography:
Born in Houston, 23-year-old Gibbs was raised in California and eventually settled with his family in Mesa, Arizona. After graduating from high school in 2006, Gibbs moved to Provo, Utah and attended Utah Valley State College for his first year. Shortly after, he ended up coming back to Arizona and attending Mesa Community College.
Austin Gibbs and the States formed in 2007 through friends of Gibbs' in Mesa. They gained momentum after winning the Tempe Music Festival SRP Garage Band Competition in March 2008
