Antje Duvekot - Ragdoll Princes And Junkyard Queens

CAPO: 2nd Fret

INTRO: Am Em G D C Am Em C G D

G Am
So, you've come to this place, you've come a long way
C G
You've got dust in your hair
Am C G
And after all this time, you're still crazy as hell

Am
Well, there were ragdoll-princes, junkyard-queens
C G
Blessed by the homeless on dirty streets
Am D
First they drag you down, then they fall at your feet___

CHORUS:
Em C
And all the girls with their curls
G D
With their buttons and their pearls
Em
You chased them down
D A
You never cared if they were real
Em C
They touched your hand, took your rose
G
And then they blew away like smoke
D Em C D Am Em C G D
But they sure left you breathless___

G Am C G
Down the road you rambled and you roamed and you carried your home
Am
On the souls of your shoes, you were looking for a truth
C G
And a love that could put some meat on your bones

Am
But you lost yourself inside those sounds
C G
In the dime store riches and the carnival crowds
Am D
But your shooting star, it was burning out___

CHORUS:
Em C
And all the girls with their curls
G D
With their buttons and their pearls
Em
You chased them down
D A
You never cared if they were real
Em C
They touched your hand, took your rose
G
And then they blew away like smoke
D Em C D
But they sure left you breathless___

BRIDGE:

On the razor blade of freedom
A
In the heat of your own flame
C D
Lies a loneliness Napoleon couldn't cross

But how can you go back to your fishbowl
F
Once you've flown with the phoenix?
G
You may never sleep again
Em G E
Once you've seen that Southern Cross

## Key Change - Up 2 Semitones ##

CHORUS:
F#m D
And all the girls with their curls
A E
With their buttons and their pearls
F#m
You chased them down
E B
You never cared if they were real
F#m D
They touched your hand, took your rose
A
And then they blew away like smoke
E F#m D E
But they sure left you breathless___
F#m D E
Yeah, they sure left you breathless___
