Song: Why Must We Wait
Artist: Anthony Green
Album: Would You Still Be In Love (2018)
Whole-Step Down, No Capo

[Verse]

F Dm E
Strawberry streaks around your neck
F Dm E
Pushing you closer to the end
F Dm E F Dm E
Free birding like, "rid me of all the things I ever thought I'd need"

[Chorus]

Am
Why must we wait
Dm
When the body is rushing
E Am
You can't help shrieking out, "take me all the way"
Am
And we die all night
Dm E
In a ritual dance so custom and arcane
Am
I can't have enough

[Verse]

F Dm E
Flow with the temper in this way
F Dm E
Pushing you closer on to me
F Dm
Cauterize deep
E F Dm E
Rid me of all the things I ever could believe

[Chorus]

Am
Why must we wait
Dm
With the temperature rising
E Am
You can't help crying out, “give it all to me”
Am
And we die each time
Dm E Am
In a murderous broth so delicate and ours, makin' our escape

[Bridge]

Am Dm E Am
Slow love, so slow love, much harder love, and slow
Am Dm E Am
So slow love, so longer love, much harder love, and slow

[Outro]

C Am
Oh, oh...
C Am
I've had enough (Pull tight around my neck)
C Am
Feel it all too much (Keep drifting as we fade out)
C Am
I've seen enough, feel it all too much (Pull tight around my neck)
C Am
But you won't regret coming to life(Keep drifting as we fade out)
C Am
I've seen enough, feel it all too much (Pull tight around my neck)
C Am
I've seen enough, open your eyes, love (Keep drifting as we fade out)
C Am C
Open your eyes
