Am or Am* F G or G* or or C or Em

Those alternate A, G and C chords sound more tense,
I use them as the song progresses, but whatever.
I also use the A* and G* in other bits as marked.
Gotta love this song.

Am F G C
This old black dog is hounding me
Am F G C
It waits 'round the corner and hides in the trees
Am F G C Am F G C
I feel the chill of something blown in on a breeze

Am F G C
In the light of a cinema screen I hide
Am F G C
Laughing I only feel empty inside
Am F G C
Crying means nothing, I've nothing to say
Am F G C
I wish I could kick this old black dog away

Em Am* Em Am* F
And the worst part is knowing my part in it all
Em Am* Em Am* F
Yeah the worst part is knowing its nothing at all

Am F G C Am F G C
Oh if I can pull myself together I'll try
Am F G C Am F G C
I can't explain the tear that sits in my eye

Am F G C
I try to outsmart him but somehow he knows
Am F G C
Wherever I am, that fucking dog goes
Am F G C
I'll kill him the next time I swear I won't fail
Am F G C
I'll kick in his ribs and I'll rip off his tail

Em Am* Em Am* F
And the worst part is thinking it's something it's not
Em Am* Em Am* F G G*
Yeah the worst part is thinking it might never stop

Am F G C Am F G C
Oh if I can pull myself together I'll try
Am F G C Am F G C
I can't explain the tear that sits in my eye

INSTRUMENTAL: Am F G C
Am F G C

Em Am* Em Am* F
And the worst part is trying to explain it to you
Em Am* Em Am* F G G*
The worst part is knowing there's nothing to do

Am F G C Am F G C
Oh if I can pull myself together I'll try
Am F G C Am F G C
Oh but I can't explain the tear that sits in my eye

Am F G C Am F G C
If I can pull myself together I'll try
Am F G C Am F G C (Am F G C repeat till the end)
Oh if I can't pull myself together I'll die
