[Verse 1]

E F#m G#m A
Got my feet in the mud and my face to the sky
E
Standing by the river watching clouds roll by
F#m G#m A
Got my line in the water and I'm waiting on a bite
E
If I have to wait forever it'll be alright

[Chorus]
A E
So if you're ever in Suwanne county
A E
Drive down to where the old river road ends
A C#m6
And walk through the field of wild covered flowers
E F#m G#m F#m E
And you'll find heaven waiting just around the bend

[Verse 2]
E F#m G#m A
Where the stars comes out when the sun goes down
E
Lay my body on sacred ground
F#m G#m A
Lost in the wonders of amazing grace
E
Connect the dots and you can see Gods face

[Chorus]
A E
So if you're ever in Suwanne county
A E
Drive down to where the old river road ends
A C#m6
And walk through the field of wild covered flowers
E F#m G#m F#m E
And you'll find heaven waiting just around the bend

[Verse 3]

E F#m G#m A
All this mortal coil I leave behind
E
Just a pile of dust in a matter of time
F#m G#m A
And when morning comes in through the trees
E
It'll fall like a blanket and cover me

[Chorus]
A E
So if you're ever in Suwanne county
A E
Drive down to where the old river road ends
A C#m6
And walk through the field of wild covered flowers
E F#m G#m F#m E
And you'll find heaven waiting just around the bend

E F#m G#m F#m E
You'll find heaven waiting just around the bend
