Hurricane -American Aquarium
Tabbed by CBerry

Capo 2.

[Verse 1]

D G
There-s boards on all the windows
D G
There's a storm moving in
D G
You can tell by the way the wind blows
D G
That she ain't coming to make friends
D G
I can see her coming, from a mile away
D G
You can tell this is going to be rough
D G
What took me my whole life to build
D G
Took her one night to fuck it up

[Chorus]

A G
Tell me baby was I targeted
A D
Or was I simply in the way
A
The wind has lost its force
G
And the rain has run its course
D G A
And all you're left with is a name
D
The name of your hurricane

[Verse 2]

D G
Well she followed me through Florida
D G
About as calm as a gun fore hire
D G
But it wasn't till south Georgia
D G
That she nearly set me chest on fire
D G
When it comes to women, I figured she
D G
Would burn out like the rest
D G
But that damn girl nearly stole my heart
D G
When she stepped out of that black dress

[Chorus]

A G
Tell me baby was I targeted
A D
Or was I simply in the way
A
The wind has lost its force
G
And the rain has run its course
D G A
And all you're left with is a name
D
The name of your hurricane

[Verse 3]

D G
Well they say that the eye of the storm
D G
is the safest place to be
D G
But if I spend one more moment in those eyes
D G
It's gonna be the death of me
D G
I didn't get her, well that's for sure
D G
She stung me like a hornet's nest
D G
I just can't wait to get back to Carolina
D G
So I can lay those storms to rest

[Chorus]

A G
Tell me baby was I targeted
A D
Or was I simply in the way
A
The wind has lost its force
G
And the rain has run its course
D G A
And all you're left with is a name
D
The name of your hurricane

[Outro]

G D
My hurricane
G D
Sweet hurricane
