2) Addie Pray, otherwise known as Bill Lincoln, was part of an American (LA/Texas) rock n roll group called Euphoria. In 1969, to little fanfare or label support, Capital Records released their explosive sole album, A Gift From Eurphoria. This disc is commonly referred to as one of the best LPs from the period - it’s that good.

Verse 1:
F Bb
Telephone wires dripping
F Bb F
from heavy sound I’m
Bb
alone again but I think
F Bb
that is how I like it

Chorus 1:
F
And someone’s radio
Bb
voice keeps ringing
F Bb
in my head tonight
F
This strange regression
Bb
I collapse into my
F Bb F Bb
bed at night

Verse 2:
F
In maps and photographs
Bb
I have something to hold
F Bb F
on to I don’t wanna talk
Bb
to you now so I’ll never
F Bb
leave my bedroom

Chorus 2:
F
Cuz it hurts to remember
Bb
the weekends that we
F Bb
spent before But now
F
I am jaded and these
Bb
memories can’t
F Bb F Bb
hurt me anymore

Verse 3:
F
Countless Sundays drive
Bb
past your house windows
F Bb F
down stereo loud Hoping
you’ll see me hear me
Bb
I’m a stalker but
F Bb
I am not proud

Chorus 3:
F
Cuz it’s easier for
Bb
me to languish than
F Bb
to open up my mouth
F
I won’t tell you how
Bb
I feel so my stillness
F Bb F Bb
weirds you out

Verse 4:
F Bb
Streets I used to recognize
look more like road maps
F Bb F
when I go I’m too tired
Bb
to run into somebody
F Bb
I used to know

Chorus 4:
F
Maybe I’ll see you
Bb
later if I ever
F Bb F
change my mind But
you won’t call and I
Bb
won’t answer it’s what
F Bb F Bb
happens every time

Verse 5:
F
And I feel different
Bb
now more different
than I ever felt back
F Bb F
then But I still paralyze
Bb
myself so I guess high
F Bb
school never ends

Chorus 5:
F
So for now I’ll
Bb
just lay here
and never open my
F Bb F
eyes This strange
regression
Bb
I collapse into
F Bb F Bb F(hold)
my bed at night
