Biography:
Zola Jesus es el proyecto en solitario que Nika Roza Danilova (nacida el 11 Abril de 1989) comenzó en el año 2006. De pequeña, creciendo en Wisconsin, US, Nika quería cantar opera, pero en su adolescencia Danilova encontró su inspiración en el mundo melancólico y oscuro de la música gótica y el synth-rock experimental.
Su primera grabación como Zola Jesus fue el single "Soeur Sewer" publicado en 2008. El primer LP "New Amsterdam" salió al mercado un año más tarde, seguido cercanamente por un segundo álbum "The Spoils".
