Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

This song is originally played with the chord formations of the key of D on Capo 1. I changed the Capo to 3 so
that I could transpose the chords to C, which is an easier key to play for beginners.
These chords can still be played with the original track, since they remain in the same
key. Good luck, have fun!

Tabbed by Luke Stirton
Capo 3

C G E
Had lips like candy, hair flowing like water,
Am F
Skin like velvet made the whole damn world slow down.
C G E
She was a preachers daughter, never did what daddy taught her,
Am F C ... C Am F ... C
And the rebel in her soul brought her to me.

C F C
The river was cold and the river was wide;
F C G
She flowed from the mountain, straight across the Great Divide.
F C F C
And her heart ran cold but her love runs deep;
F C G C
She’s fire on the mountain, wrecking everyone she meets.

F C F C
She’s like rain when she rolls in but that sunshine in her thunder
F C G
Makes the loneliest heart wonder if the ride is worth the pain.
F C F C
Might not be storm clouds in sight, oh but don't you worry friend;
F C G C ... C Am F G C
She’s coming around the bend, she’s holding lightning in both hands.

C F C
Lord please know it’s that time for me to go;
F C G
The river has me heart, she’s the keeper of my soul.
F C F C
On one side of the water there’s sweet everlasting grace;
F C G C
The other side could end your life or steal your breath away.

F C F C
She’s like rain when she rolls in but that sunshine in her thunder
F C G
Makes the loneliest heart wonder if the ride is worth the pain.
F C F C
Might not be storm clouds in sight, oh but don't you worry friend;
F C G Am G F G C
She’s coming around the bend, she’s holding lightning in both hands.

Fiddle Solo

F G E Am
She’s a natural disaster, she’ll tear the land in two;
F C G Am
She’s running to be running cause its all she knows to do.
F G E Am
She’s a tumbleweed a-rolling, a river running wild,
F C G C
A hurricane a-blowing; she’s the calm after the storm under an Appalachian sunset sky.

F C F C
She’s like rain when she rolls in but that sunshine in her thunder
F C G
Makes the loneliest heart wonder if the ride is worth the pain.
F C F C
Might not be storm clouds in sight, oh but don't you worry friend;
F C G C
She’s coming around the bend, she’s holding lightning in both hands.

F C
She’s like rain when she rolls in,
G C
But there's sunshine in her thunder.
F C
She’s coming around the bend;
G C
She’s holding lightning in both hands.
