[Ok, this is a cool song, I think I have got this spot on, but this is my first time so
any comments would be really appreiciated - [email protected]]

[Intro is just two B chords played by themselves, listen to the CD and you will hear the
pattern.]

B A
I awoke this morning Love laid me down by the river,
B Bm
Drifting I turned on up-stream bound for my forgiver,
Dm A
In the giving of my eyes to see your face,
Dm A
Sound did silence me leaving me no trace,
E A/E
I beg to leave to hear your wonderous stories,
E A/E E
Beg to hear your wonderous stories,
A/E G#m
La la la...

[Thats the verse, this follows straight on to the second verse, once you know the chords
well enough for the first verse its easy to pick up for the other ones. I'll just post
the words for the second verse.]

He spoke of lands not far, nor lands they were in his mind,
Of fusion captured captured high, where reasons captured his time,
In no time at all he took me to the gate,
In haste I quickly checked the time ot see if I was late,
I had to leave to hear your wonderous stories,
Had to hear your wonderous stories,
La la la...

[Then it goes to a funnny bit:-]

E A/E E A/E
Return to hear your wonderous, stories.....
E A/E E A/E
La la...... la la la la........
E/B E
La la la.......
A/E
Hearing,
E A/B
Hearing,
E/B A/E
Hearing,
E/B A/B
Hearing,
E A/E E/B
Hearing,

[Then it goes back to verse three:]

It is no lie, I see deeply into the future,
Imagine everything you're close,
And were you there to stnad so cautiosly at first,
And then so high,
As he spoke my spririt climbed into the sky, I bid it to return,
To hear you wonderous stories,
Had to hear you wonderous stories,
La la la...

[Almost the end of the song now, just one little chord bit and then the end of it.]

A/E G#m7
La la,
E B Bm/E Dm
La la,
A Dm
Hearing,
A E A/E E A/E Bm/D
Hearing, hearing your wonderous stories,

[And thats the song. I am only 15 and not yet a music expert, but I will try and put
chords to the entire album - Going For The One, then I will start on the King Crimson
albums.]

[Just one last note, for the verse I have some alternative chords that work well as well].

B D#m A C#m
I awoke this morning love laid me down by the river,
B D#m Bm G
Drifting I turned on upstream bound for my forgiver,
Dm A
In the giving of my eyes to see your face,
Dm A
sound did silence me leaving me no trace,
E A/E E A/E
I beg to leave to hear your wonderous stories,
A A/E E
Beg to hear your wonderous stories,
A/E G#m
La la la.

[Thats the alternative version for those who can't reach the top notes, few males can!
Thanks for checking out my tab!]
