My Train Is Coming

by XTC
XTC

Biography:

XTC were a rock band from Swindon, England led by Andy Partridge (guitars, vocals) and Colin Moulding (bass, vocals). Active between the late 1970s and the mid 2000s, XTC's music ranged from jerky new wave/punk riffs to lushly-arranged progressive pop. They also drew heavily from vintage pop rock and psychedelia from the 1960s, genres which they began to explore more deeply after creating The Dukes of Stratosphear side-project. While XTC failed to maintain significant commercial success after the 1980s

My train is coming, I can see it up the line line line
B7 E7 A7 E7
My train is coming and what's on it's all mine

A7 F#7
My train is coming, I can hear it up the track track track
B7 E7 A7
My train is coming, bringing sugar-time back

D7 Fdim
Oh, little darling, since you've gone I've been so sad and blue
D7 Fdim
Little darling, if you come home I'll be good to you
E7
Got to get it while it's here That's a lesson that is clear
Got to get it while it's here and I hear

My train is coming, I can see it up the line line line
My train is coming and what's on it's all mine

Oh, Little darling, since you've gone I realize I'm wrong
Little darling, ride that railroad back where you belong
Got to get it while it's here That's a lesson that is clear
Got to get it while it's here and I hear

A7 F#7
My train is coming, I can see it up the line line line
B7 E7 A7 (notes: A G# G F#) F#
My train is coming and it's slap-bang on time
B7 E7 A7 (notes: A G# G F#) F#
My train is coming What I did was a crime
B7 E7 A7 (notes: E F# G# A)
My train is coming and what's on it's all mine
