Wingnut Dishwashers Union

Never Trust A Man Who Plays Guitar

by Wingnut Dishwashers Union
Wingnut Dishwashers Union

Biography:

Wingnut Dishwashers Union was sometimes a one human punk band, sometimes a sprawling twelve piece orchestra, and always based straight outta Brattleboro, VT. The project lasted in one form or another from the demise of Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains in 2007 until songwriter Pat "The Bunny" moved from Vermont to Arizona to get off junk in December 2009. Since the beginning of 2011, he has played in a new Tucson-based band called Ramshackle Glory. He no longer performs as Wingnut Dishwashers Union.

[Intro]
C G Am E F x2

[Verse]
C
So I dip this pen in arsenic
E
I write a song for every president
Am F
that wont ever get shot in the face
C E
And I wrap these strings in plastic explosives
Am
Head down to the court house
F
with one chord I level the place
C E
But... hasn't anybody learned
Am F
don't ever trust a man who plays guitar
C E Am
The day I rob a bank's the first day I'm not lying
F C
to you or me about what I believe

[Interlude]
C G Am E F x2

[Verse]
C E
And if I die then let my gravestone read:
(pause) Am F
"Rest in P. Funk" cause no pulse is no excuse not to dance
C E
If I live then let my heart be like a beating picket line
Am F
they'll sooner see a corpse than see a scab
(pause)
Oh, but... hasn't anybody learned

the last to make the moves are the first to say the words
C E Am
The day I rob a bank's the first day of my life
F C
as an honest man, an honest man
E Am
The day I rob a bank's the first day of my life
F C
as an honest man, an honest man
(tap guitar)
The day I go to jail trying to rob a bank

Is the day I finally get what I deserve

End on C
