Am G Am G
Sometimes I'm tossed & driven
Am G Am G
& sometimes I don't know where to roam
Am G Am G
but I've heard of a city called Heaven
Am G Am G
& I've started to make it my home
Am G Am G
Oh soon I'll reach the glory
Am G Am G
where mortals no longer complain
Am G Am G
& there's a ship that's coming to take me
Am G Am G
& the captain is calling my name

A
Do you wanna be buried with my people, dear
D A
was the look in his eyes
A
We can rest our bones side by side
D A
in the dirt of yonder high

A D A
& it's so fun to see me being me alongside you
A
& that's how I knew the answer dear
D A
to the look I got from you

A D A
I'd nearly given up dear with all my fantasies
A D A
& then you come & crossed my path, & so here we be
A D A
& how the hell did I live this long without you by my side
A D A
Can I believe it's you I've sensed & sung to all my life
A D A
Arms that held me never worked before until I was held by you
A D A
with a grip so still & charged, oh, coo coo coo coo

A D A
& finally it came around inviting us to play
A
There's nothing as scary as a divine plan
A D A
but I wouldn't have it any other way

A
The mystery is larger than you & me
A D A
& we're drunk on faded heart
A
but woman, I have a suspicion
A D A
you just could be my missing part

A
but who the hell knows which way
D A
God will pull us tomorrow
A
but honey we're writing our past right now
D A
& fear's only gonna beckon sorrow

A
Giddy up love whatever is for you
A D A
won't ever pass you by
A
You live & die in you
A
& I live & die in me
D A
each day for the rest of this life

A
'Cause I am a prince
A
& I am a prince
D A
for I am my own salvation
A
but you're my queen
A
& you're my king
A D A
so live & die beside each other

A
Do you want to be buried with my people, dear
D A
was the look in your eyes
A
We can rest our bones side by side
A D A
in the dirt of yonder high

A D A
& it's so fun to see me being me alongside you
A
That's how I knew the answer dear
A D A
to the look I got from you
