Thinkin' 'bout Drinkin'

A D
I'm thinkin' 'bout drinkin' but I ain't done it yet
E F#m D
I lie back and dream 'bout how drunk I could get
A D
Remember the time that you got me from jail?
Bm G
You saw me in handcuffs and you threw my bail.
A D
And I was Hank Williams and I couldn't fail
Bm G E
But the look in your eyes told a whole different tail.

A D
And I'm thinkin' 'bout drinkin' but I ain't done it yet.
E F#m D
I lie back and dream bout how drunk I could get.
A D
A dinner engagement with an old friend
Bm G
You raised your glass and toasted and now I'm him again (?)
A D
You recognized Satan and it caused you to run
Bm G E
Sure I remember but wasn't it fun?

A D
And I'm thinkin' 'bout drinkin' but I ain't done it yet.
E F#m D
I lie back and dream bout how drunk I could get.
A D
Some shouldn't gamble and some shouldn't kiss
Bm G
And should some wipe pride fools right off of their list.
A D
And some shouldn't hold guns in such great esteem
Bm G E
And it seems when I'm lonely that I shouldn't dream.

A D
And I'm thinkin' 'bout drinkin' but I ain't done it yet.
E F#m D
I lie back and dream bout how drunk I could get.
A D
I'm thinkin' 'bout drinkin' but I ain't done it yet.
E F#m D
I lie back and dream bout how drunk I could get.
E F#m
