[Intro]
D Dmaj7 D5 D Dmaj7 G6/D
D Dmaj7 D5 Aadd4 D5

[Verse 1]
D Dmaj7 D5
All the leaves have fallen
D Dmaj7 G6/D
Still I'm heading down this road
D Dmaj7 D5
Kind of wish it wasn't
A D5
Such a long, long way to go
D Dmaj7 D5
So I keep on calling
D Dmaj7 G6/D
Calling out to those who know
D Dmaj7 D5
Where the leaves aren't falling
A D5
I'm heading down to California

[Pre-Chorus]
G
Cause when it gets hot
A Bm
We can get hotter, we can get louder
Bm
We can get louder, get louder

[Chorus]
D A
So we run to the trees when we wanna go up
G
'Till we go so high and we never come down
G
You won't know, you won't know
E7sus4
'Till you find your California
D A
So we run to the trees when we wanna go up
G
'Till we just let go and we figure it out
G
You won't know, you won't know
E7sus4
'Till you find your California

[Interlude]
D Dmaj7 D5
D Dmaj7 G6/D

[Verse 2]
D Dmaj7 D5
Driving down the highway,
D Dmaj7 G6/D
where the stars are white as snow
D Dmaj7 D5
You pull me out of somewhere,
A D5
somewhere I was far below
D Dmaj7 D5
I haven't even noticed
D Dmaj7 G6/D
if the time is right to go
D Dmaj7 D5
Where it is I'm going,
A D5
just get me close to the windy road

[Pre-Chorus]
G
Cause when it gets hot
A Bm
We can get hotter, we can get louder
Bm
We can get louder, get louder

[Chorus]
D A
So we run to the trees when we wanna go up
G
'Till we go so high and we never come down
G
You won't know, you won't know
E7sus4
'Till you find your California

[Bridge]
A
Hey, sometimes you never know
G
When the tide goes out we let it flow
A
Hey, these days you never know
G G
Only keep the good times with you though, oh

[Chorus]
N.C.
So we run to the trees when we wanna go up
N.C.
'Till we go so high and we never come down
