Traveling Wilburys

Heading For The Light

by Traveling Wilburys
Traveling Wilburys

Biography:

Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup formed by George Harrison and Jeff Lynne. Initially an informal grouping with Roy Orbison and Tom Petty, they got together at Bob Dylan's studio in Malibu, California, to record an additional track as a B-side for the single release of Harrison's "This is Love". The song they came up with was "Handle with Care", which the record company immediately realized was too good to be released as a single "filler".

They enjoyed working together so much that they decided to create an album together.

C D
I've wandered around with nothing more than time on my hands

Fm G
I was lost in the night with no sight of you

Fm G
And at times it was so blue and lonely

C Fm G
Heading for the light

C D
- Been close to the edge, hanging by my fingernails

Fm G
I've rolled and I've tumbled through the roses and the thorns

Fm G
And I couldn't see the sign that warned me, I'm

C
Heading for the light

Am G F C
- Ooh, I didn't see that big black cloud hanging over me

Am G F
- And when the rain came down I was nearly drowned

D D7
I didn't know the mess I was in

C D
- My shoes are wearing out from walking down this same highway

Fm G
I don't see nothing new but I feel a lot of change

Fm G
And I get the strangest feeling, as I'm

C
Heading for the light

Am G
- Ooh, my hands were tired

F C
Jokers and fools on either side

Am G
- But still I kept on till the worst had gone

D D7
Now I see the hole I was in

C D
- My shoes are wearing out from walking down this same highway

Fm G
I don't see nothing new but I feel a lot of change

Fm G
And I get the strangest feeling, as I'm

C Fm G
Heading for the light

C D
- I see the sun ahead, I ain't never looking back

Fm G
All the dreams are coming true as I think of you

Fm G
Now there's nothing in the way to stop me

C
Heading for the light

Fm G
Now there's nothing in the way to stop me

C
Heading for the light
