F#m A
Not so long ago
Bm F#m
Down from the trees and into the gutter
F#m A
Naked, beautiful
Bm F#m
Feet on the earth and heart all aflutter
F#m A
Set up from the dawn
Bm F#m
Eden was a trap and the apple was a con
F#m A
From the tilt of the hips, the grasp of the hand
Bm F#m
The word is the seed of the soul of the man
E D F#m E D
(Friendly fire) Can't take one life for another (Friendly fire)

| F#m | F#m |

F#m A
Know your history
Bm F#m
We don't want to learn but we want to believe
F#m A
We seek out enemies
Bm F#m
Scared to the core as we arm to the teeth
E D F#m E D
(Friendly fire) Can't tear one life from another (Friendly fire)

A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)
D
We came from the earth not the firmament
A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)
| D C#m | Bm Bm
Now Yeah we're still animals

F#m A
Get up off your knees
Bm F#m
And don't bow your head any more
F#m <> n/C
Raise your voice to sing
n/C
One song true enough for us all

A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)
D
We came from the dirt not the firmament
A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)
D C#m Bm
We're still animals, just animals

A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)
D
We're bound to the earth like a sacrament
A E
We're not separate (separate), no different (different)

Now We're still beautiful -- animals
