[Verse]
Eadd#9
Well I wake up in the morning at 11: 47
Aadd#9
And I can't believe I have to face the horror of another fucking day
Eadd#9
And the magnificent magnitude of my morning erection
Aadd#9
Merely mocks me like the sun in it's optimistic greeting of the day
F#m B
Managing to manifest a modicum of motivation
F#m B F#m
I meander to the kitchen make a mission out of mixing Nescafe
Aadd#9
But the milk is going off and coffee by itself is bitter
B
And there's ants all through the sugar and the supermarket's miles a-fucking-way

E |--------------------|
B |--------------------|
G |--2--3--4-----------|
D |----------2-3-4-----|
A |--------------------|
E |----------------0-1-|

[Chorus]
B E7
My life is pretty sad
A D
But I know that I should be glad
C#7
I could be a starving Ethiope
F# F#7
Or a policeman in Baghdad
B B B7 B6 B
Policeman in Baghdad
B7 B6 B
Bagdad

[Verse]
Eadd#9
At 11: 53 I instigate the day's ablutions
Aadd#9
In the hope my constitution can be altered by some action on the bowl
Eadd#9
But the total non-existence of colonic animation
Aadd#9
Seems to me the perfect metaphor for the utter constipation of my soul
F#m B F#m
By 11: 59 I have decided that my life would be immediately improved
B F#m
By a carefully written list of short-term goals
Aadd#9
But by 12.05 my list consists of one-dot put some pants on
B
Two-dot go to the shop, buy some prunes and Panadol

E |--------------------|
B |--------------------|
G |--2--3--4-----------|
D |----------2-3-4-----|
A |--------------------|
E |----------------0-1-|

[Chorus]
B E7
My life is pretty shit
A D
But I know I shouldn't whinge about it
C#7
I could be a Palestinian
F# F#7
Driving buses on the Gaza strip
B E7
Yeah how bad can it be?
A D
Some people have it worse than me
C F
I could be an Ipswich prostitute
B7
Or Gary Glitter's family

B E7
I have no right to cry
A D
Some people have it worse than I
C#7
I could be a thalidomide kid
F# F#7
With something in my eye
B B B7 B6 B
Something in my eye
B7 B6 B
My eye

[Verse]
E7
At 12: 30 I realise I'm feeling so dejected
A13
That I've totally neglected the beginning of the Jerry Springer show
E7
So I settle on the sofa try to focus an iota of my motor-neurons
A13
On the brilliant insights for which Jerry is known
F#m B F#m
And although on any other day a show entitled "Midgets, Midgets, Midgets"
B F#m
Would excite me like a virgin at her year eleven ball
Aadd#9
Today those little jelly-wrestling fellas fail to free me of my misery
B
Instead they simply serve to make me feel three foot tall

E |--------------------|
B |--------------------|
G |--2--3--4-----------|
D |----------2-3-4-----|
A |--------------------|
E |----------------0-1-|

[Chorus]
B E7
But how bad can it be?
A D
Some people have it worse than me
C#7
I could be a junior life saver
F# F#7
On a Banda Aceh beach

E A7
Or a woman in afghanistan
D G7
Or a Jew in the Ku Klux Klan
C F
Or the architect of the World Trade Centre
B
Or a bobcat driver in Bam Iran

B E7
I could have my identity mistaken
A D
As a bomber in an underground station
C#7
I could be a peace-loving speech-writer
F#7 F
In George W's administration

E A7
Yeah, I know that I don't have the right
D G7
To be unhappy with my life
C F
I could be Hitlers mother
B7

B E7
Yeah, I know that I shouldn't be bitchin'
A D
I could be in a worse position
C#7
I could be a 3-nippled naturopath
F#m7
In the days of the Spanish
F
In the Spanish inquisition

[Outro]
E A7
I know I have no right, no right to cry
D G7
Some people have it much, much worse than I
C F
I could have a serious nut allergy
B A
And be shipwrecked on an island with a crate of Snickers bars,
G#7 F# F E E/G# E/A E/A#
A jar of Nutella and a fresh baked pecan pie
E F E
Some people have it worse than I!
