[Verse 1]
G
How to be proud of that town ain't nobody heard of
D/F#
Had a big dream, seventeen, some day how to grow up

How to make dust fly out on no name road

I learned it from the radio

G
How to wake up, how to work tough, how to roll up those sleeves

How to throw down, how to get loud, what to put in that drink
Em C
To give the stars in the sky a little halo

I learned it from the radio

[Chorus]
G
If it wasn't for the speakers in the door
D/F#
Telling me a truth I hadn't ever heard before
Em
I never would have kissed that girl, never would have known what to say
C
I would have never known better, I'd have let her get away
G
Thank God for 4 wheel drive, thank God for windows down
D/F#
And all the DJs in all those little static towns
Em C
How to live, how to love everything I need to know

I learned it from the radio

|(G) |(D/F#)

[Verse 3]
G
What to say when you think that you've found that girl
D/F#
Who to call when she's gone and she wrecks your world
Em C
How to get over it yeah how to let her go

I learned it from the radio

[Verse 4]
G
How to see it all from a front porch
D/F#
And how to say it all just using three chords
Em C
And when to run when you're young, when to come back home

I learned it from the radio

[Chorus]
G
If it wasn't for the speakers in the door
D/F#
Telling me a truth I hadn't ever heard before

I never would have kissed that girl, never would have known what to say
