Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Song: New Years With Carl Weathers
Artist: The Wonder Years
Album: The Upsides (2010)
Tuning: Standard (I prefer to play it a half-step down so as not to worry about that Eb in a weird spot, but
here is the tab in standard tuning.)

I think this is correct, the only part I have doubts about is the chorus and if the Eb is major or minor, so
if you have a correction feel free to let me know!

Intro: Db

Verse 1:
B F#
Two miles from the hotel, eight hundred from home

Abm
We're forced to call on all we know

Eb E
But all we know's a joke

B F#
The van just started shaking, coughing out black smoke

Abm Eb E
We're pulling off in a parking lot cause this might just explode

B (strum once)
Cause it's New Year's Eve and four degrees

Abm F#
We're stranded, hopeless

E B F#
I just want some sleep

B F#
Drew's too busy sexting with some girl he met last show

Abm Eb E
Tripping balls from the soft effects of a Nyquil overdose

B F#
Nobody's been asking how we're gonna get home

Eb E F#
Cause we all know

Abm F# E
We'll deal with it tomorrow

Eb E F#
Yeah, we know

Chorus:
B Abm
It's gonna be our year, boys

E
I'd speak up

Abm E Eb
But I'm waiting for the irony to fall asleep without me

B Abm
And we'll wait and see

E
With some luck and patching up

F# F E Eb E F#
I think I'll be home this week

Abm F# E Eb E F#
We'll deal with it our own way

F#
And we'll stay, and we'll wait,

B F#
And we'll wake in this awkward mess we made

Abm
A landscape forged from pizza crust

Eb E
And what's left of a case

B F#
We'll make friends in every state

Abm
Like the cops in the parking lot

Eb E
Or staff of Steak'N'Shake

Chorus:
B Abm
It's gonna be our year, boys

E
I'd speak up

Abm E Eb
But I'm waiting for the irony to fall asleep without me

B Abm
And we'll wait and see

E
With some luck and patching up

F# F E
I think I'll be home this week

F# E
But I'm too tired to speak

Eb E B F#
I'll say, "Hey man, I'll see you in Cleveland"

Eb E F#
"Hey man, I'll see you in Cleveland"

Eb E B F#
Someone go tell the universe we're not concerned

Eb E F#
We know that it's out to get us

But we'll never learn

Eb E B F# (strum each once and hold, except play F# as two notes)
So if you're thinking you just got the best of me

Eb (strum once)
Man, we don't go down that easy

Eb E F# Abm F# E Eb E F#

B Abm
It's gonna be our year, boys

E
I'd speak up

Abm E Eb
But I'm waiting for the irony to fall asleep without me

B Abm
And we'll wait and see

F# E
With some luck and patching up

F# F E
I think I'll be home this week

Outro: Eb E F#
