by The Used
The Used

Biography:

The Used is an American alternative rock band from Orem, Utah. Their sound has been classified under many sub-genres of rock. They signed with Reprise Records in late 2001 and rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their debut self-titled album, The Used. Soon after a CD/DVD package named "Maybe Memories" was released containing unheard demos and a "behind the scenes" story of the band/band's past. They followed up with their second album, In Love And Death, in September 2004 and their third album, Lies For The Liars, in May 2007.

Hello guitarists!
This is a very simple acoustic version of a great song. It might not be exact, but
it's perfect for casual playing. If you have any questions just leave a comment
and i'll get to it. Have fun!
-Dustin

D
In my eyes, close and jaded,
A
It's no surprise the lights have faded
Bm
I'll always walk away
G Gm
You'll always hear me say I don't need this

D A
I've been given such a gift
Bm
Shame to take advantage of it
G
Watch it, wasting leaves you wanting more
Gm
Be careful what you're wishing for

D A
Nothing that I can hold on to with my broken hands
I'm not thinking that I should anyway
Bm
So I leave holding nothing
Don't care what you say
G
'Cause it makes no difference if I throw it away
*Gm
Yeah, it makes no difference if I throw it away

D
Now, my days, are feeling numberd
A
The sad cliche
Bm
I'm hiding under this spiderweb of dreams
G Gm
I'm stuck here as it seems to be breaking

D A
Shining brighter than you burn
Bm
Something that I would never learn
G
I could never lay this curse on you
Gm
'Cuz I've seen the days when there's...

D A
Nothing that I can hold on to with my broken hands
I'm not thinking that I should anyway
Bm
So I leave holding nothing
Don't care what you say
G
'Cause it makes no difference if I throw it away

D
'Cause it makes no difference
A
Yeah it makes no difference if I throw it away
Bm
It makes no difference
G
It makes no difference if I throw it away
*Gm
Makes no difference if I throw it away

(Stop playing and do the rhythm with your hands on the body your guitar.)

Bm A G
It all just ends up tasting watered down
(stop being so complicated)
Bm A G
And everyone has found an easy way out
An easy way out

Bm A G
It all just ends up tasting watered down
(stop being so complicated)
Bm A G
And everyone has found an easy way out
An easy way out

D A
Nothing that I can hold on to with my broken hands
I'm not thinking that I should anyway
Bm
So I leave holding nothing
Don't care what you say
G
'Cause it makes no difference if I throw it away

D
'Cause it makes no difference
A
Yeah it makes no difference if I throw it away
Bm
It makes no difference
G
It makes no difference if I throw it away
*Gm
Yeah it makes no difference if I throw it away (throw it away)

(End on D)

*You can either stay on the G chord or switch to Gm here, whichever you like better.
