Revolution

by The Used
The Used

Biography:

The Used is an American alternative rock band from Orem, Utah. Their sound has been classified under many sub-genres of rock. They signed with Reprise Records in late 2001 and rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their debut self-titled album, The Used. Soon after a CD/DVD package named "Maybe Memories" was released containing unheard demos and a "behind the scenes" story of the band/band's past. They followed up with their second album, In Love And Death, in September 2004 and their third album, Lies For The Liars, in May 2007.

It's not enough to kill the past, be blind to history
Db A F#
And all at once there's a black cloud coming made of gasoline
Db E A F#
I'm feeling too upset the price, make sure that nothing's free
Dbm A B
One way to move forward is to learn who's stopping me.

We looked at the price tag, and it's one we can't afford
A Ebm Db A
We were taught that progression means accumulating more
Db A F# Db
Yeah, if it's up to protect ourselves well why are we at war
A F# Ab
And isn't it obvious we're adding up the score?

I'll never turn my back on where i'm from
A Dbm
I'll never stop believing. I'll always love my home
Dbm F#m
But if all I love and know has just been burned
A Dbm
I know it's just still bleeding since the fire has grown

F#m A
So wrong I wanna pledge allegiance
Dbm F#m
to a world that's so much different
A
No one suffers, everyone is free
Db Ab
Revolution starts with me
