VALLEY OF THE BIRDS - The Stranglers

Tabbed by: Christopher Painter

D#m G#
Ray decided to be silly after all,
D#m G#
He died a thousand times in the Viet war,
D#m G#
So he strapped himself in and he took his chances,
F# G#
Into the valley of the bird absurd,

D#m G#
I don't remember what it was the old man said,
D#m G#
I know I'd tempted fate a thousand times before,
D#m G#
So we strapped ourselves in and we took some chances,
F# G#
And had a fight for the brother who can be,

D#m G#
Birdman,
D#m G#
Looking for the waste land,
D#m G#
Try'na get me face tanned,
F#
It's beautiful, we're beautiful,
G#
We're flying through the valley of the birds,

D#m G#
We decided all for all and all for one,
D#m G#
And when I do I really wanna go in style,
D#m G#
So without a sense of reason we explored life,
F# G#
Like throwing stoned into the great unknown of

D#m G#
Birdman,
D#m G#
Looking for the waste land,
D#m G#
Try'na get me face tanned,
F#
It's beautiful, we're beautiful,
G#
We're flying through the valley of the birds.
