The Spill Canvas

Biography:

The Spill Canvas started in 2002 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as a side project for lead singer, Nick Thomas, who at the time, was guitarist and backup vocalist for metalcore outfit Nodes of Ranvier. As time passed, Thomas resigned from Nodes and went full-time with The Spill Canvas. While growing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Thomas recorded his first songs at age 15, funded by his father who strongly encouraged his son's evident musical talent.

Intro: Drumbeats

Verse 1:
F# C#/F
Alright that's it I've had
Ebm B
enough I'm on my way to you
F#
It's nauseating and
C#/F
I'm sick of waiting
Ebm
for all these pointless
B
calls to go through
F# C#/F Ebm B
But no I'm not a skeptic anymore
F# C#/F
At last I see what all of
Ebm B
this ridiculous hard work is for

Refrain:
Ebm B
The moisture in the air
F# C#/F
is begging for release
Ebm
and the memory of your
B G#m Bbm
stare is raining down on me

Chorus:
B F# C#/F Ebm
Hypothetically if you were point A
B F# C#/F Ebm
and theoretically if I was point B
B F#
we would be we would
G#m Bbm
be frantically melting
B F#
into one massive point
C#/F Ebm
that could overcome anything

Post Chorus: Bass riff
F#-C#/F-C#-

Verse 2:
F# C#/F
Constantly you're working
Ebm B
through the mileage in my head
F#
Oh I'm calculating
C#/F
yes I'm sick of waiting
Ebm
How many hours until
B
I reach your bed?
F# C#/F Ebm B
But no I'm not a skeptic anymore
F# C#/F
At last I see what all of
Ebm B
this ridiculous hard work is for

(Repeat Refrain)
(Repeat Chorus)
(Repeat Post chorus)

Bridge:
B(quiet)
My faith in you could move
F#
these mountains I am driving through
B
It's times like these when
Ebm
I wish I could teleport to you
C#/F B
cause then we wouldn't have an issue
F#
We're cleverly strategically
B Ebm
challenging our fright and insecurities
C#/F(distortion)
and never seem to want to leave

(Repeat Chorus)

Outro: B F#
we would be we would
G#m Bbm
be frantically melting
B F#
into one massive point
C#/F Ebm F#-C#/F-C#(hold)
that could overcome anything
