[Verse 1]
D#
She yelled, "Tell Jesus he's a fucking loser,
Cm G#
The wedding went better than the party with the city boozers"
D#
Learnt you can't take photos of the stars
Cm G#
The cops will drive you home if you're too drunk to start the car
D#
Drove through late night highways soaked in heavy cloud
Cm G#
Gripped your leg a little tighter when we started spinning out
D#
Sat motionless across both lanes,
Cm G#
I looked at you and said, "It's OK! we're OK!"

[Chorus]
D#
I wanna kiss you on the mouth
Fm
A little bit too hard
G#
It took years to figure out
A#
Who we actually are
G#
Woo

[Verse 2]
D#
Don't play two shots around here, mate
Cm G#
Pub rules are you deal with whoever you've decided to play
D#
Juddy got back from visiting his cousin in jail
Cm G#
But his cousin had escaped
D#
You said you didn't want anyone to talk
Cm G#
And I suggested you stopped being so goddamn memorable
D#
Slowly turned around in a muddy clearing
Cm G#
One day back towards the mountain
Cm G#
One step closer to disappearing and I said:

[Chorus]
D#
I wanna kiss you on the mouth
Fm
A little bit too hard
G#
It took years to figure out
A#
Who we actually are
D#
I wanna kiss you on the mouth
Fm
A little bit too hard

[Verse 3]
D#
And pack a bag for the city
Cm G#
Sometimes coming home feels more like leaving
D#
Satellites and magnets
Cm G#
Patience and sleep
D#
And I'm staring down the barrel
Cm G#
And you look so good

[Bridge]
Toward the fire we will go
Dumb kids on a country road
Payday beers are drunk and thrown
Into next fortnight's overflow
Despite my deeply seeded doubts
Still wanna kiss you on the mouth

[Chorus]
D#
I wanna kiss you on the mouth
Fm
A little bit too hard
G#
It took years to figure out
A#
Who we actually are
D#
I wanna kiss you on the mouth
Fm
A little bit too hard
