Reel Big Fish ("RBF") is a ska punk band from Huntington Beach, California, United States who broke into the mainstream in the mid to late 1990s, formed in 1992.

Their debut album, "Everything Sucks" (1995), was an underground hit and led to a deal with Mojo Records (see also Mojo), an indie label. Intro

[F][Am][Bb][C] (2x)

-Verse-
F A
If I had a dollar bill for every time I've been wrong
Bb C
I'd be a self-made millionaire and you'd still be gone
F A
So hand me down my dress shoes and my best dress shirt
Bb C
Cause I'm going down in style to cover the hurt

[F Fm] (2x)

F A
All i wanna do all day is spend it in bed
Bb C
but that's bad for the body and even worse for my head
F A
So I'll try and find a place where no one will ask me a thing
Bb C
It will help me to forget and help me to say

-Chorus-
F Eb
Cause now I'm drunk again
Bb
A means to my end
Db C
And I'm scared of myself
F Eb
Cause now it's all the same
Bb
The places and names
Db C
And I'm scared of myself again

[F Fm] (2x)

-Verse-
F A
Have you ever wanted to wake up from your dreaming
Bb C
It scared you so bad you couldn't you control your heart or your breathing
F A
Well walk out the door with me on the floor You don't care how i'm feeling
Bb C
I guess a weak and tired and frightened man is no longer appealing

-Chorus-
F Eb
Cause now I'm drunk again
Bb
A means to my end
Db C
And I'm scared of myself
F Eb
Cause now it's all the same
Bb
The places and names
Db C
And I'm scared of myself again

[F Fm] (2x)

-Bridge-

Am Gbm (or F#m)
Some people have a gift of reaching right into your soul
F E
And finding the hole and making it bigger
Am Gbm
There are sometimes I think I catch you cracking cynical smiles
F E
And in a short while you'll be my hearts grave digger
Dm E
Well there's not much I can do
Dm E
Cause I'm at the mercy of you
Dm E
So baby I guess we're through oh

-Outro-
F Eb
Cause now I'm drunk again
Bb
A means to my end
Db C
And I'm scared of myself
F Eb
Cause now it's all the same
Bb
The places and names
Db C
And I'm scared of myself again

F Ebm
So go walk out the door
Bb
You don't need me no more
Db C
And I'm scared of myself

F A Bb C
Again.

F A
If I had a dollar bill for every time I'd been wrong
Bb C
I'd be a self-made millionaire and I wouldn't be singing
