Verse 1:

D A
I'd never been lucky with girls, I confess,

'Cos even with ones up the back of a bus;
D
There was always the risk of a slap in the puss.

Chorus 1:

D A D A
But Jean, oh Jean, you let me get lucky with you.

Verse 2:

D A
The first time I met you, it did cross my mind,
D
The next time I saw you, there wasn't the time.
D A
The third time I saw you, I thought that I would,
D
The fourth time I met you, I knew that I could.

Chorus 2:

D A D A
But Jean, oh Jean, you let me get lucky with you.

D A D A
'Cos Jean, oh Jean, you let me get lucky with you.

Jean, oh Jean, you let me get lucky with you.
