The Magic Numbers

Mornings Eleven

by The Magic Numbers
The Magic Numbers

Biography:

The Magic Numbers are a four piece indie band from Ealing, London. The band consists of two brother-and-sister pairs, Romeo Stodart (guitar, lead vocals) and his sister Michele Stodart (bass, vocals), and Sean Gannon (drums) and his sister Angela Gannon (percussion, melodica, vocals), who came together as a band after Romeo and Sean started writing songs together. While the Gannons are of Irish heritage, the Stodarts are the children of a Scottish father and a Portuguese mother and were born in Trinidad in the Caribbean and raised in New York

D* A

G|--------------11-------| x2

G D(riff) A
Call me if you're on your own, maybe I could meet you in the morning

so that's how the verses and chorus go. now for the slow bit, which
comes in after the second chorus. when they go "morning" the second
time there's a pause, then a whole bunch of "Ba's"

A G Em Bm A
Ba, ba ba, ba ba, ba ba, ba ba, ooh ooh ooh

D Bm
Mornings eleven , The feelings are severed, I can't feel anything at all

Em A
But I would die for you Oh I would die for you

D Bm
All that I'd ever seen, All that I'd ever been, All that I'd ever wanted

Em A
And I would die for you , Oh I would die for you

D Bm Em A
I, had it all, But I never thought I did...No no no no, I never thought I did, Ooh oh oh oh oh

D Bm Em A
I, had it all, But I never thought I did...No no no no, I never thought I did, Ooh oh oh oh oh

G A Em
Ba, ba ba, ba ba, ba, ba

G|-------7-7-7--|
D|--------------|
A|--8-7--5-5-5--|

then another couple of verses and choruses. there's a breakdown which i'm not up
to working out just yet. then they come back on the "die for you's" and the slow
bit goes back into full swing until the end of the song. end on D. easy. and what
a great song. will work out nice little fills in the breakdown soon as i can. for
now this should do most people.
