[Intro - E, A, E, E, B, E]

E A E
Tell me who was it told you 'bout the broken bones,
E B
The broken bones in the sky,
E A E
'Cause I've been all over the whole goddamn world,
C#m B E
And over the world am I.

E A E
Now the moon it ain't nothing but an old rotten bone,
E B
Hung from the ceiling so high,
E A E
It reminds kids to grow and reminds them to dream,
C#m B E
But over the world am I.

C#m G#m
So my friends if you're worried,
A E
Don't worry about me,
C#m G#m
The grasses are green here,
A B
The winters are mild,
C#m G#m
And the hunger is passing,
A E
It's just a sensation,
C#m B E
And over the world am I.

[Short Instrumental - E, A, E, E, B, E]

E A E
Up in the city it's panic and toil,
E B
In every fiber and vein,
E A E
All dressed up like kings in their robes of desire,
C#m B E
The poets are going insane.

E A E
But I've been to the ocean her salts they do heal,
E B
And washed me anew in her tides,
E A E
And now I ride easy down her cool wide waves,
C#m B E
And over the world am I.

C#m G#m
So my friends if you're worried,
A E
Don't worry about me,
C#m G#m
The grasses are green here,
A B
The winters are mild,
C#m G#m
And the hunger is passing,
A E
It's just a sensation,
C#m B E
And over the world am I.

[Instrumental - Repeat Chorus x2 (So my friends if you're worried...)]

C#m G#m
So my friends if you're worried,
A E
Don't worry about me,
C#m G#m
The grasses are green here,
A B
The winters are mild,
C#m G#m
And the hunger is passing,
A E
It's just a sensation,
C#m B E
And over the world am I.
