Dirty Postcards

by The Korgis
The Korgis

Biography:

The Korgis are a Pop-band formed circa 1978 from the United Kingdom, originally composed of James Warren (vocals, bass) and Andy Davis (drums, vocals), both ex-members of stackridge, along with the unofficial members Stuart Gordon (guitar) and Phil Harrison (keyboards).

Their successful period lasted until 1982. In 1986 Warren would go on to issue a solo LP entitled Burning Questions in. Some of the singles during this era were released as 'The Korgis' and co-produced by Andy Davis.

[I worked this out on keyboard (see below)
and then came up with these better guitar chords...]

intro bass notes: C# - Ab F# C# - F# Ab

C#m7 Amaj7
I thought it was a joke when you called me up
F#m F#m7
And said you needed ironing
Amaj7 A6
There were creases in your facial lining
F
Won't you have a little rest when they turn out the lights

A nice cup of tea and you'll be feeling alright
Bb C Bb
Don't fret, you'll recover yet you'll see
C F
So keep on sending dirty postcards back to me
C E F C E F C E F
Back to me back to me back to me

C#m7 Amaj7
I thought it was a lark when you phoned my dad
F#m F#m7
And told him that you'd have to catch the measles

You're flesh was being ripped to shreds by weasels
