The Iveys

Biography:

Known today as "the band that became Badfinger" as well as for their single "Maybe Tomorrow", British pop rock band 'The Iveys' started as Pete Ham, David "Dai" Jenkins, Ron Griffiths, and Terry Gleeson. H F# A H
As I look out through my window, I can see the morning dew
H F# A E
And the people seem so happy. I wish that I could too
A G#m F# E
My life's become so gloom, so gloom, so gloom

H F# A H
If you get a good woman, be sure to treat her right
H F# A E
Or someone else will take her away from you one night
A G#m F# E
From arms that held her tight, held her tight, held her tight

H F# A H
Take good care of my baby, that's all I ask of you
H F# A H
Take good care of my baby and then I won't feel blue
A G#m F# E
No matter what you do, what you do, what you do

Instr.: / H / F# / A / H / H / F# / A / E /

H F# A H
I think I've learned my lesson, but now the time's too late
H F# A E
Someone else has got my baby, someone else is feeling great
A G#m F# E
I sit all day and wait, sit and wait, sit and wait

H F# A H
As I think about the good times, feel tears come to my eye
H F# A E
Times when I could make her happy, just to be around by my side
A G#m F# E
Try to make you realize, realize, realize

H F# A H
Take good care of my baby, that's all I ask of you
H F# A H
Take good care of my baby and then I won't feel blue

H F# A H
Take good care of my baby, that's all I ask of you
H F# A H
Take good care of my baby and then I won't feel blue
