The Henningsens have been playing this one live
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7SyBQOpnLY) so I decided to tab it and upload it.
The version without a capo ("original") is played with the chords A, F#m, D, E, Bm and
G. I tabbed it without a capo, but I think this is easier for beginners. Click transpose
+2 if you prefer to play the song without a capo.

Capo on 2nd
G Em x5

G Em G Em
What’s this concoction in my glass
G Em G Em
Well, I’m so glad you finally asked
C G Em G Em
I promptly think that empty means half full
G Em G Em
You thought I crumbled in a mess
G Em G Em
For a while I did I must confess
C G
You shook the lemon tree and gave them all to me and I fall

Em D C
I took out a knife (a sharp one),
Em D C
I gave them a slice (slowly),
Em D C Am
I squeezed them for all they were worth
C G Em G Em G Em G Em
And I made lemonade

G Em G Em
I pawned your ring and took the green
G Em G Em
Bought a car and gasoline
C G Em G
I drove then to the coast and put my pain and toes in the sand
Em G Em G Em
And if you wonder how I spend my time
G Em G Em C
I finally met a special guy, you play guitar okay,
G
But he plays lead in a band

Em D C
I took out a knife (a sharp one),
Em D C
I gave them a slice (slowly),
Em D C Am
I squeezed them for all they were worth
C G F C
And I made lemonade
G F C G F C
Lemonade, oh, lemonade
G F C G F C
A little sugar, a little ice,
G F C G F C
A little shaking, goes down nice

Em D C
I took out a knife (a sharp one),
Em D C
I gave them a slice (slowly),
Em D C Am
I squeezed them for all they were worth
C
And I made, yeah
Em D C
I took out a knife (a sharp one),
Em D C
I gave them a slice (slowly),
Em D C Am
I squeezed them for all they were worth
C G
And I made lemonade
