The Fratellis

B Movie Saga

by The Fratellis
The Fratellis

Biography:

The Fratellis is an alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland who took their name from the villains in the film "The Goonies" (although, by coincidence, Barry's mother's maiden name is in fact Fratelli). The band consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli (real name John Lawler), bass guitarist Barry Fratelli (real name Barry Wallace), and drummer, backing vocalist, occasional guitarist and banjo player Mince Fratelli (real name Gordon McRory).

Oh sweet Jesus could this be
My very own last stand
Lupe brown will marry me
It didn't work out as planned

A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
Psychic policemen bang my drum
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
Wildmen tap my phone
A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
Fifteen guard dogs at my door
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
Won't leave me alone

A
Well it's all so very simple
A
You don't have to get so deep
A
It's a racket for the lazy
A
I could do it in my sleep

G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew it could be so easy
G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew you could be so cruel

G D
Well I have nothing easy
G D
I hate everything you adore
G D
So tell me when, tell me again
E A
Tell me just once more

G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew it could be so easy
G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew you could be so cruel

A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
Well I would ride a thousand planes
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
You know I hate to fly
A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
This would satisfy my brains
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
And give me half a reason why

A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
There's no good reason I should stay
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
And ten good ones to leave
A5 G5 F5 D5 D5
But I'm just curious to see
A5 G5 F5 D5 F5(2)
What you've got up your sleeve

A
Well you've never let me down so far
A
This could be a day
A
When I should've seen it coming
A
Scrambling up my way

G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew it could be so easy
G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew you could be so cruel

G D
Well I work seven days now
G D
But it would just about do me in
G D
Once in a while, I'll fake you a smile
E A
But I don't have the discipline

G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew it could be so easy
G D
Oh yeah,
G D
well I never ever knew you could be so cruel
