The Early November

Wearing The Tie

by The Early November
The Early November

Biography:

The band was formed by guitarists Arthur "Ace" Enders (who was born on April 19th and grew up in Bass River, New Jersey, before moving to Hammonton, New Jersey) & Jim Sacco along with bassist Sergio Anello and drummer Jeff Kummer in Hammonton, New Jersey in February 2001.

Together, they recorded a 5 track demo in Enders' basement and sent it, along with a poorly edited videotape to only one label: Drive-Thru Records.

A couple of months passed while both Sacco and Anello had to budge for more skilled replacements

Verse 1:
Gmaj9
I fell down thirty feet of stairs
Dmaj9 Bm (A)

Chorus 1:

G Bm A
And I feel it calling me again
G Bm A
In the winter ice I stand
G Bm A
And I feel it calling me again
(A) G
So what will it take
Bm A
To make this finally the end?

Music Break:

Gmaj9 Dmaj9 Bm (A)
Verse 2 (same as verse 1 chord wise):
Gmaj9
Carving snow, I found myself a glove
Dmaj9 Bm (A)
So I took it home and my body, mind and soul
Gmaj9
draped in robes like soft and flowing tones
Dmaj9 Bm
Through a combo and it's quarter cranked again
A (Add 3rd fret as needed)
And this time I follow my own lines

*Prechorus Riff*

Chorus 2 (same as chorus 1):

G Bm A
And I feel it calling me again
G Bm A

It's the breaking point, the crossed out, the fine lines we hide, the lies

Medicine, and crooked ties define why I'm not who you thought you liked

Bm x1
A x1

REPEAT

Gmaj9
It's the breaking point, the crossed out, the fine lines they hide, the lies

Gmaj9
It's the breaking point, the crossed out, the fine lines they hide, the lies
