The Decemberists son una banda estadounidense de indie pop, formada en Portland, Oregon. Su nombre deriva de la "Rebelión Decembrista" de 1825 en Rusia, y la temática de sus canciones normalmente trata de historias y personajes ficticios, normalmente mezclado a hechos históricos y siempre manteniendo una línea narrativa.

Actualmente, The Decemberists esta formado por:

Colin Meloy (vocalista, guitarra)
