Capo 4th Fret (whole song).

G E7 A7 D7 G
Yes, my love, oh we are magicians, you and I
E7 A7 D7 G
And soon we'll see, the cloud shapes in our eyes
E7 A7 D7 G
are blind, but fly, forever just the same,
D7 G
forever just the same

-VERSE-

G E7
Oh you - you've been sleeping in the rough
A7 D7
a travelling man took you by the hand, and still I wonder
G E7
Why girl - you've got a pocket full of snuff
A7 D7
a meek and mild, ragtime child who sometimes wonders

-CHORUS-

Am D7
Why, the crowds all stare
G E7
Mrs Porters crying, keep that kid away, from my bear
Am D7
I've got 10 bob on that one, and ill not be having no
G E7
mad assed kid, do me wrong
Am D7
and suddenly the curtain falls

-VERSE-

G E7
Oh it - it may well hap' to be
A7
That there's magic wed, in ragged threads
D7
That you sleep under
G E7
To find – there's an comfort in melody
A7
To a mild and meek, ragtime chic
D7
And still I wonder

-CHORUS-

Am D7
Why, the crowds all stare
G E7
Mrs Porters crying, keep that kid away, from my bear
Am D7
I've got 10 bob on that one, and ill not be having no
G E7
mad assed kid do me wrong
Am D7
and suddenly, the curtain falls

-BRIDGE-

B7 Em
Mary's just a poor girl
C D7
Turned alabaster call girl, with bruised and pale pins
B7 Em C
Mary's still a poor girl, so through those gutters crawl girl
D7
Your secrets sleeping in

-CHORUS-

Am D7
Why the crowds all stare
G E7
Mrs Porters crying, keep that kid away from my bear
Am D7
I've got 10 bob on that one, and I'll not be having no
G E7
mad assed kid do me wrong
Am D7
and suddenly, the curtain falls

-OUTRO-

G E7 A7 D7 G
Yes, my love, oh we are magicians, you and I
E7 A7 D7 G
And soon we'll see, the cloud shapes in our eyes
E7 A7 D7 G

D7 G
