The Chameleons

Biography:

The Chameleons (called The Chameleons UK on some American releases) were a post-punk band that formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester, England, UK in 1981. They consisted of singer and bassist Mark Burgess, guitarist Reg Smithies, guitarist Dave Fielding, and drummer John Lever.

Home submerged
Nomads we
Roam your lands
We walk amongst you
Secrets safe
Signs concealed
Sight unseen
We walk amongst you

Savage is your way
Savage yes
But soon the tides will turn again
The meek shall have their day
Oh yes
Oh yes

And seeks only the humble heart

C

D Dm Am E Am
We'll meet you by the side of the spirals yes

Repeat these Chords for the rest of the song.

Verse 3:

Numbered we
The grains of sand
As you do now
We are the last ones
If you have
Ears to hear
Understand
We are the last ones

Your world has no shame
Those in anguish cry out loud
And call our name
Who will save the sane?
Oh yes

Chorus :

When it comes
It is swift in its mission
And seeks only the humble heart
When it comes
It is swift in its mission
And seeks only the noble heart
When it comes
It is swift in its justice
And breaks only the selfish heart
When it comes
And it will
We'll meet you by the side of the spirals yes

Outro : (the Outro has a diffrent rhythm then the verses) Dm Am E Am
