Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

In the song, Felix sings in a very loose, free style. Due to this it's hard to place
exactly where you change the chord just by looking at the words here- but as long as you
know the beat, you'll be fine.

The second verse and chorus have the same chord pattern as the first verse and chorus.
The final chorus is the same again, except with a key change.

Also, in the first verse there is a bit where there is no music, just words. At these
points, I've put the chords in brackets. They are optional.

I've left out the instrumental trumpet solo chords. Sorry if the lyrics are wrong- I
copied it straight from another website without checking first. My bad!

Intro:

F# C# G#m C#
I cannot say ‘oh sweetness’
F# C# G#m C#
like he could
F# C# G#m
cause I cannot play a lullaby
C# F# C# G#m C#
like it should

F# G#m C# x2

Verses:
F#
I used to cry but now I have to laugh
G#m
because she’s got that torment
C#
to a fine art
F#
smart like a foxy
G#m
and craf-ty-as-A-cat

i’m looking up

as i’m lying on my back
F#
bite the beast

if i want a big piece of the pie
G#m
but she’s taken the feast
C#
in the blink of an eye
F#
I can-not-jus-ti-fy

what’s going on
G#m
- it feels so right
C#
when it seems so wrong
F#
like a plot hatched

in the sweet spot of that trap
(G#m)
- ask what she’s schemes
(C#)
she say ‘oh this and that’
(F#)
then she snaps like a camera

in black with a flash
(G#m)
puts the drum in the drama
(C#)
the hand in the clap

F#
she’s a map with no bearings

attached - no
G#m
safety-in-this-match
C#
fire you can’t catch
F#
then zap I was struck by that

bolt before dawn
G#m
then by breakfast honey
C#
we was signed and sworn

G#m A#m B C#

F# C#
I’ll give you all night movie marathon
G#m C# F# C#
G#m C#
and a triple expresso so you can stay awake
F#
it might be late - but
C# G#m
it’s never too late for that lovin
C# F# C# G#m C#
my sexy babe
F# C#
something always telling me
G#m C#
‘save prayers before dawn’
F# C#
cos what happens when I’m with you
G#m C#
makes me shake my head then smile and yawn
F# C#
I’m worn out but I’m beaming
G#m C#
and it seems that we are dreamy
F# C# G#m C#
as we head out through that strange old morning door
