Intro: C Cadd9 G

Am
Ever since I was 16
Fm
I wished that spring would come to me
F G
And I wished that I could dance upon the isles
C
Sweat rivers on a stage of steam
Am
I let my thoughts begin to dream
F G C
I held my breath and ran into the wild

Am
And each night a horizon grew
Fm
In all of us or just a few
F G
Til morning's gold would make it disappear
C
Yet somewhere in my treasured chest
Am
Is not forgot what must forget
F G C
But that's a feeling for another year

Am
And movement has a way like words
Fm
You're there before the rhyme is heard
F G
And all that one can do is shape the ride
C
The miles of a forgotten dream
Am
Are yours my love it's where we've been
F G C
And maybe one day soon we will arrive

C F C
Playing all night loud
F C
Playing all night loud
G Am F
Sing it all night with me
G C
All night loud

Am
And we went on a whirlwind trip
Fm
The nights unwound the records flipped
F G
And stillness came like chaos in the lights
C
And voices like devotion flew
Am
Across the sea from me to you
F G C
In music that I still cannot describe

Am
And there were ugly times it's true
Fm
Some from me and some from you
F G
And devils have a way of digging down
C
But a friend is not a friend for life
Am
Unless your life is worth the strife
F G C
So hold on we'll be alright

C F C
Playing all night loud
F C
Playing all night loud
G Am F
Sing it all night with me
G C
All night loud

Am
There's a speech that I know well
Fm
Was told by Henry V I'll tell
F G
A version that relates to us not war
C
"He who sheds his sweat with me
Am
Will be my friend eternally
F G C
From this day to the ending of the world!"

Am
No matter if we're young or old
Fm
Or in the sun or in the cold
F G
I hope I can remember your bright eyes
C
'Cos I know you and you know me
Am
At least somehow mysteriously
F G C
So thank you my dear friends and that's goodnight

I'm much obliged
Am
I'm much obliged
F G C
So thank you my dear friends and that's goodnight

I'm much obliged
Am
I'm much obliged
F G C
So thank you my dear friends and that's goodnight
