Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

This is my first submission. I was surprised to not find this song anywhere because it
always my favorite song by them. I had to figure it out myself. I don't think I'm way
I figured this sound out on banjo so I'm sure there could be some major descrepancies.

The song is actually in A-flat minor. Lets forget that and just detune our guitars.
pretty sure that is what they did.

When playing guitar (or banjo) you can hammer on the chord from the open strings to give
a more 'minor' feel.

The harmonica is based on the 3rd of the A minor scale which would be C key harmonica.
the record they probably used B since they are tuned down a flat. I seriously doubt
Peters used a minor key harmonica. Only losers with sick senses of humor use minor
key harmonicas (like me).
Its just a simple blow note on the 4th hole and suck notes when you are hitting the G
Towards the end of the harmonica line you do a blow note on the 5th hole.

please contact me and tell me of my errors in figuring out this song. i'm not a
so open to hear the error of my ways.

The Alarm - The Stand

Am G
Oh I have been out searching with the black book in my hand
Am G
And I've looked between the lines that lie on the pages that I tread
Am G
I met the walking dude, religious, in his wom down cowboy boots
Am
He walked liked no man on earth
G
I swear he had no name (had no name)
I swear he had no name
Am G Am
Come on down & meet your maker
G Em F G
Come on Down & Make the stand
F G Em F
Come on down come on down come on down
F Am
we'll make the stand

As I crawled beneath the searchlights
Looking through the floorboards of this life
I met Doctor Strangeloves cousin
He bore the marks of time
"Hey! Trashcan where you going boy
Your eyes are feet apart
Is that the end you're carrying Shall I play the funeral march" (play the march)
"Play the funeral march"

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on down & we'll make the stand.

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on down, we'll make the stand.

When I looked out the window
On the hardship that had struck I saw the seven phials open
The plague claimed man and son
Four men at a grave in silence With hats bowed down in grace
A simple wooden cross,
It had no epitaph engraved (it had no)
It had no epitaph engraved.

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on and make the stand

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on down, & we'll make the stand.

Come roll out the red carpet
come bugler sound the horn
For the hero is returning
you gotta welcome him to his home
don't say i didn't warn you
the prophecy is coming true
i can hear the calvary thundering
riding over the hill, riding over the hill

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on and make the stand

Come on down & meet your maker
Come on down & make the stand
Come on down, come on down,
Come on down, & we'll make the stand
