Tennis

Biography:

Tennis is Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore, a husband/wife duo. The idea for the project began one day a couple of years ago when Alaina made fun of Patrick for playing tennis in college. A year later the two fled their hometown Denver to spend eight months sailing and exploring the North Atlantic coast. During their adventures they began writing music together documenting their experiences. The Longboat Pass Songfacts reports that the pair eventually recorded their songs.

For the E octaves in the chorus I like to play an E bar chord (x799xx) emphasizing the 7 on the A string,
then drop down to an open E chord (022100) emphasizing the 0 on the E string.

Intro:
e|-7---5--4--0----|
B|-9---7--5--2----|
G|----------------|
D|----------------|
E|----------------|

Verse:
E A
Still dreaming of the thicketed field
E A
Salty marsh fed by the tidal stream

Look down the flush
Sleeping deep in the brush
The night brings the hush
I can hear the current

Pre-Chorus:
F#m G#m F#m G#m
Hidden by the knees of the cypress trees
The insects chirping underneath the leaves
When you kiss me, you really kiss me
F#m G#m F#m B
Tell me how can you resist me?

Chorus:
E F#m
Did we ever reveal?
E F#m
This is all that we need
E F#m
Did we ever reveal?
E F#m
This is all that we need
