Taj Mahal

Aint Nobodys Business

by Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal

Biography:

Taj Mahal (born Henry Saint Clair Fredericks in New York City on May 17, 1942) is an American Grammy Award-winning blues musician who incorporates elements of world music into his music. A self-taught singer, songwriter, and film composer who plays the guitar, banjo and harmonica (among many other instruments), Mahal has done much to reshape the definition and scope of blues music over the course of his 50 year career by fusing it with non-traditional forms, including sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and the South Pacific.

Champagne don't drive me crazy,Cocaine don't make me lazy

You can ride a great big pink Cadillac to church on Sunday

You can lay around the rack with your old lady all day Monday
C G7
Ain't nobody's business but your own
C F7
I don't care what in the world you do As long as you do what you say you going to

Now, you know sometimes I put on my straw hat,
And my stripe pants, my spatz baby,
A7

D
Standing on the corner so the fellas can stare and say

(Talking)
G
Hey man, ain't you the brother in the '57 mercury
With the turnpike skirts and the chrome reverse wheels
The white wall tires and lights running the skirts
Was painted lime green with reversible licence plates
With windows that you can see out, can nobody see in
With four on the floor, 745 horsepower and a big stereo
Listening to Wolfman Jack say, "Ain't this X E R B, baby"

Chorus: "Champagne don't drive..."

Come on now let's try it together, one, two, three ...
C F7
Now, champagne don't drive me crazy, Cocaine don't make me lazy
C G7 G
Ain't nobody's business but my own

Repeat till end
