Rhythm Of The Rain - Sylvie Simmons

G Cadd9
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain,
G D
telling me just what a fool I've been.
G Cadd9
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
G D G5
and let me be a-lone a-gain.

G Cadd9
The only boy I ever loved has gone away,
G D
looking for a brand new start.
G Cadd9
Little did he know that when he left that day,
G D G5
the mutherfucka took my heart.

Cadd9 Bm
Rain won't ya tell me, does that seem fair.
C G
For him to steal my heart away when he don't care.
Em7 Am D G D
I can't love another when my heart's some-where far a-way.

G Cadd9
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain,
G D
telling me just what a fool I've been.
G Cadd9
Wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
G D G D
and let me be a-lone a-gain.

Cadd9 Bm
Rain won't you tell him that I love him so.
C G
Please tell the sun to set his heart aglow and
Em7 Am D G D
rain in his heart until the love in him starts to grow.

G Cadd9
Oh listen to the falling rain,
G D
telling me just what a fool I've been.
G Cadd9
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
G D G D
and let me be a-lone a-gain.

G Em7 G Em
Oh, listen to the falling rain, pitta patter, pitta patter.
G Em7 G Em

G Em7 G Em
Oh, listen to the falling rain.
