I called the old crowd over as soon as you were gone

C G7
My first night here without you couldn't stand to be alone

C C7 F
Their jokes aren't really funny but their laughing just the same

C G7 C
They're not my kind of people but I'm so glad they came

F C
I'll be alright as long as I keep laughing

G7 C
I'll be alright until this party ends

C7 F
But when the jokes have all been told and the drink's no longer cold

C G7 C
They'll all go home and I won't smile till they come back again

F C G7 C
They're not my kind of people but I'm so glad they came

C7 F
I guess your friends will tell you how I lived it up tonight

C G7
You'll think that I don't miss you you'll be far from being right

C C7 F
They can't help me to forget you but they're trying just the same

C G7 C
They're not my kind of people but I'm so glad they came

F C G7 C
They're not my kind of people but I'm so glad they came
