And a video of Corey Taylor reading it as a poem. I beleive its on youtube.

This is an acoustic version that I worked out one afternoon.
It's fairly straight forward, I can play along with the recorded version and it sounds pretty tight.
Any correction feel free to comment. Listen to the song for the rythem, I tried matching the chord change
with the words but I'm only human.
Solo in C#min. Though if played live acousticly it really needs a second guitar
to fill in the gaps while soloing.

My eyes started going crosseyed near the end of this
so if I made a mistake please comment and I will correct it ASAP.

Keep Rocking,
DustyCarvin

After playing this song I have changed some chords. The riff is the same notes
I just made it so its easier to play while barring the C#m

Riff 1
C#m
E|-4-----4-4---4----4|-----------------------------|
B|-5-----5-5---5----5|-----------------------------|
G|-6-----6-6---6----6|-----------------------------|
D|-6-----6-6---6----6|--------4--4h5p4------4------|
A|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4--4|--4--7-------------7---------|
E|-------------------|-----------------------------|

Easy riff, played through various parts of the song, I usually play it in between the versus.
Those of you might have noticed the riff has a G note in it. But Dusty, its in C#m, it shouldn't
have a G note. Think of it as a C#m blues scale. Kind of like how Enter Sandman is in E minor
but they play an A#/Bb in the main riff, same deal.

Chords Used
C#m B A G#m G#4 F#m E
E|-4---------0---4------x----2----0-|
B|-5----4----2---4------x----2----0-|
G|-6----4----2---4------6----2----1-|
D|-6----4----2---6------6----4----2-|
A|-4----2----0---6------4----4----2-|
E|------2----0---4------4----2----0-|

C#m B (slide back up to with G#4 as a transition to C#m)
The bloody angle, the symmetry
C#m B
Your cheap adhesive isn't holding me
C#m B
My mouth is a gun I can shoot, I can show you the truth
C# A
And I don't need a reason to lie to you

C#m B
No pun intended, no punishment
C#m B
If I offended you, you needed it
C#m B
Ideas are the bombs in your mind, a fissure in time
C#m A
If you don't have a weapon you can't have mine

(Breakdown, heavily muted, I softly strum the first two lines then open my lungs up
while semi-growling and jam harder on the last two lines)

C#m
I can bleed if I want to bleed
G#m
I can fail if I feel the need
F#m
This face is my last confession
E
This life, it feels like a prison

C#m B
Oh ho, I'm not afraid
A B
I'm giving into grievances again
C#m B
You're looking at an absolute zero
A B
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

(Break)

C#m B
The catatonic, the sacrilege
C#m B
Your primadonnas are a privilege
C#m B
My God has a need to react, it's as simple as that
C#m A
It's better just to settle and face the facts

C#m
I can bleed if I want to bleed
G#m
I can feel if I feel the need
F#m
This face is my last confession
E
This life, it feels like a prison

C#m B
Oh ho, I'm not afraid
A B
I'm giving into grievances again
C#m B
You're looking at an absolute zero
A B
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

(Solo in C#m)

C#m B
One thing that I can't stand
G#m A
Is when the minutes fight the second hand
C#m B
I'll waste a lifetime's worth
G#m A
Just to play to one more day

C#m B
No fucking quota, no premiums
C#m B
The world is stuck in delirium
C#m B
Man is a four-letter word, it's really absurd
C#m A
The hate isn't fake, it's just inferred

C#m B
Oh ho, I'm not afraid
A B
I'm giving into grievances again
A B
I'm down to absolute zero
C#m B
Another zealot with the weight of the fucking world

C#m B
Oh, I'm not afraid
A B
And I will let you down as I hold you in
C#m B
You're looking at an absolute zero
A B
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

End solo, with riff. I noodle around in the C#m.
