Here are the chords to the song "Manchild" by Steven Page (formerly of Barenaked
Ladies). This song is not yet on an album, but it was released as a single earlier
this year. I think these chords are pretty accurate, aside from the bridge. I
couldn't quite figure those out. Still, hope you enjoy!

-Standard Tuning-

-No Capo-

-The chords are played as follows:-
C: 032010
Am: x02210
G: 320033
F: 133211
Em: 022000
Dm: xx0231

[Intro]
C, Am, G, F, G (x2)

[Verse 1]
C
There's wisdom
Em
In every little thing you say
Dm
And I'm wrong
F
And getting wronger every day
C
I'll be true
Em
You know I'll never break your heart
Dm
I hear you
G
Could you repeat the last part?

[Chorus]
C Am
Darling, you're talking to a man now.
G
You're talking to a man now, child.
F G
Speak slowly, speak slowly

[Verse 2]
Sweetheart,
What do you think I do all day?
I make Art
When inspiration blows my way.
Oh, the shouting?
I'm getting kind of used to that
But this doubting my intentions?
Well honey, that just makes me sad.

[Chorus] (x2)
Darling, you're talking to a manchild
Darling, you're talking to a manchild now
Speak slowly, speak slowly

[Bridge]
C Am
You ask for conversation
C Am
You ask for understanding
C Am Dm Em
But then you say you want a man, yeah
C Am
Look how hard I'm trying:
C Am
I'll let you watch me crying.
C Am G F
I'm just like you, but I'm a man.

[Instrumental]
C, Am, G, F, G (x2)

[Verse 3]
I know you
You think I'm just a lazy jerk
But I miss you
Babe when you're away at work.
And Genius
Can strike a man at any time
So I'm waiting
Let's cut it with the heavy sighs.

[Chorus] (x2)
Darling, you're talking to a manchild
Darling, you're talking to a manchild now
Speak slowly, speak slowly

[End on C]
